lovely hotel, i stayed here with my family. the breakfast was superb and plentiful with sausages and locally sourced sausages, for instance, the restaurant was welcoming. exceptionally comfortable bed, well-appointed room, everything was first-class. the venue had a lovely and beautiful location near church of st mary. moreover, the area was really quiet.

The cozy atmosphere, highlighted by a roaring log fire, created a perfect retreat after a day of walking. The staff's personalized touches, especially catering to our dog, made our stay truly enjoyable.

A Good Stay with Comfort and Charm

We stayed for three nights in a cozy double room with a good view. The warmth of the staff was nice, while the delicious meals was really good. The breakfast spread was particularly noteworthy-don't miss the freshly baked pastries!

    delicious food
    family-friendly amenities
    noisy nights

I had a great experience enjoying a delicious rib-eye steak and chatting with the friendly locals over a pint. The kids loved the play area and bouncy castle. The only downside was that it got a bit noisy at night, but we still had a blast! 🍔

    good food
    play area
    varied menu
    limited storage
    supply issues

The food was good, and the kids enjoyed the play area outside. We found it refreshing to have a varied menu for children with options beyond what is usually available. We appreciated how well the staff catered to our family needs .

The room had limited storage for clothes, inconvenient for our family. We had to request more supplies for tea and milk several times .

pleasant stay with room for improvement

The family room layout was practical, with one area with a kingsize bed and another with two singles perfect for kids. Breakfast offered a satisfying selection that kickstarted our day, and the staff's friendliness.

The bathroom's access from the second room made late-night trips a bit tricky.

    separate bedrooms
    cozy decor
    lovely view
    no mirror
    tight quarters

We stayed in a quadruple room and it was surprisingly great! The setup was perfect with two separate bedrooms, which gave us lots of space. The beds were super comfy and the decor was nice. We had a lovely view from the room, especially with the snow. Only downside was no full-length mirror, but honestly, not a biggie.

    customizable breakfast
    good value

It was just a prime choice for a weekend adventure in Ashbourne with really good value. The coffee at breakfast was a bit weak, but it was nice to customize our order. Make sure to check the menu before planning your meals.

    excellent food
    friendly staff
    dog friendly
    long wait
    wrong order

The food was just excellent, both in quality and quantity! Love the cozy atmosphere, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The pub is in a really pretty location, perfect for walks, and it was great to see locals enjoying their time there. Super dog friendly which is awesome for pet lovers like me!

the breakfast wait time was way too long, and they got my order wrong multiple times.
